Dear December,

It's a beautiful evening, I noticed. Well, at least here, in Jakarta, Indonesia. It's so weird, writing a blog, pretending to be a pro, although as you guessed, I am actually typing back and forth right now. Type, then backspace backspace backspace, and then retype, backspace, type, backspace, and it just keep on proceeding like that. But, no worries, I'm gonna start now.

Everyone, may I remind you, it's finally the first of December!
Dearest the last chapter of my little twenty-fourteen-life-logy, please be good {}

You'd probably hear me sing "Jingle bell, jingle bell, jingle all the wayyyyyyyy" if you're around me right now. And well, even if you're somewhere far away, imagine a girl who has a voice like Disney's-Little Mermaid's-Ariel singing. My voice is exactly like that.
Yes, yes, I'm kidding, okay, bye.
Now, seriously,
"December (Listeni/dɨˈsɛmbər/ di-sem-bər) is the twelfth and last month of the year in the Julian and Gregorian Calendars. It is one of seven months with the length of 31 days.December is the first month of meteorological winter in the Northern Hemisphere. In the Southern Hemisphere, December is the seasonal equivalent to June in the Northern hemisphere, which is the first month of summer. December is the month with the shortest daylight hours of the year in the Northern Hemisphere and the longest daylight hours of the year in the Southern Hemisphere.December gets its name from the Latin word decem (meaning ten) because it was originally the tenth month of the year in the Roman calendar, which began in March. The winter days following December were not included as part of any month. Later, the months of January and February were created out of the monthless period and added to the beginning of the calendar, but December retained its name."

Notice that I just quoted wikipedia.com right there. If anybody ask me, what does the month december mean to you? I'll probably answer, it's the best month of the year! Christmas is in 24 days, plus, it's winter (the season we don't get to taste, cos it's Indonesia)! Snow, coats, hot chocolate, blue, christmas songs, christmas trees, little colorful lamps (what does it called, btw?) and not to forget, the classic Santa Claus and his many many gifts. Who else can't wait for Christmas?

Here in Indonesia, malls are getting decorated by christmas stuffs, and department stores are jazzed up by christmas chorus. "Have yourself a merry little christmas...." "Joy to the world, the Lord is come...." "Frosty the snowman, has a jolly happy sound (?) (wait I'm googling it,) WAS A JOLLY HAPPY SOUL...." "Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow...." Yes, yes, a lot of people I know thinks that christmas songs are overrated. But, let's just take a moment-

"Have yourself a merry little Christmas, Let your heart be light. From now on,our troubles will be out of sight
Have yourself a merry little Christmas, Make the Yule-tide gay. From now on, our troubles will be miles away.
Here we are as in olden days, Happy golden days of yore. Faithful friends who are dear to usGather near to us once more.
Through the years, We all will be together, If the Fates allow. Hang a shining star upon the highest bough.
And have yourselfA merry little Christmas now."

Just look at the lyrics, how can something like this be overrated?
This is personally my favorite christmas song ever :)

Christmas is always about being together with family, sharing love and kindness. It's even way more romantic than Valentine's day (just my opinion, but well-)
We've got 24 days lining up before the 25th. 24 days to prepare ourselves for Christmas. 24 days left to actually fix the broken moments in the past 11 months. If you're wondering, why 24? I'd probably say that after the 25th, it's always a new beginning to me. Like you know, the epilogue to a novel. So let's make the epilogue counts!

Well, it's almost 11pm in here, I'll probably hop to bed. Had fun writing this, I'll write again tomorrow :)

Goodbye, for now xx
